The historic Italian Song Festival Sanremo, 67th in order, passed into history, leaving the best impression with the perfect organization of the Italian National Broadcaster.
Five consecutive nights, the spotlight was turned on the town of Italian Riviera in the scene of Teatro Ariston, which hosts the Festival for several years.
The presenters of Sanremo 2017, Carlo Conti and Maria De Filippi for five nights was faultless presenting uniquely with the Italian finesse all the contestants reaching the final night where competed 16 wonderful songs.

The vote followed a mixed system: 40% tele voting, 30% jury of experts and 30% vote, the final classification from the 16th to the 4th song was:

The first three were Fiorella Mannoia, Francesco Gabbani and Ermal Meta, who passed to the second phase of the competition, without considering the previous rankings, a new vote on the same mixed system begun. Based on the results of the second voting result was as follows:

Winner of the Sanremo Festival 2017 was Francesco Gabbani with the song Occidentali’s Karmaand after RAI's proposal is officially the Italian representative in Kiev with Occidentali’s Karma!
Francesco Gabbani born in Carrara in 1982. At the age of 18 he signed his first recording contract as a member of Trikobalto group. In 2010 followed solo career. Last year, he won in Sanremo in the category of Emerging Performers (Nuove Proposte) to a song Amen. As always awarded 3 other prestigious awards:
The best lyrics award went to Sergio Bardotti, the spokespersons prize Lucio Dalla, took Fiorella Mannoia, while critics gave the award Mia Martini to Ermal Meta.
Francesco will compete in the grand final on May 13.
