Czech Republic

    This year along with the returning of Cyprus and Serbia Czech Republic is finally back in the Eurovision Song Contest. After five years of absence Czech found her enthusiasm and gave the green light for Czech’s entry for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest that will be held in Vienna, Austria after the victory of Conchita Wurst with the song Rise like a Phoenix.
    Czech Republic was decided and the “Golden Ticket” for the first half of the Second Semi-Final in 21 May goes to Marta Jandová and Václav Noid Bárta.

    Marta was born on April 13, 1974 and she is the daughter of the famous Czech rock artist Petr Janda. In 1993 Marta joined the band Die Happy in Germany as a lead singer; in 2005 she participated in the German Bundesvision Song Contest. Next step in her carrier was the bands Apocalyptica and Oomph (2007). One year later, 2008, she moved to Prague and she started to work in different artistic jobs as a TV presenter, vocalist with several popular bands in Germany and Czech Republic.
   “I've already had the opportunity to perform with Marta before and we both felt there was quite good chemistry going on. Marta is sensuous, a real woman, with an amazing voice and great technique. Her personality oozes charisma which means anyone could sing a duet with her and it would turn out well”. That’s was the words of Václav Noid Bárta for Jandová.

    Václav Noid Bárta was born on Octomber 17, 1980. His mother was a singer and his father producer and lyricist. His first steps in music were at the age of 17 when he became the lead vocalist of the rock band Dolores Clan. Václav is a professional performer, his work in Aida and Jesus Christ Superstar from a very young age are the proof of his immense talent. At the age of 35 Václav Noid Bárta is famous as a singer, composer, lyricist, and actor.
    “Václav is a very talented singer. I used to think he is just kind of a self-made rocker, but he turned out to be a full-fledged musician.
