Worthy heir of her father’s talent, Mariya became a performer from the age of 6, music flows in her veins like a blood, she is made for music. That’s why in 2009 she entered the Variety Vocal Department of the Kyiv Circus and Variety Arts Academy and simultaneously the History, Politology and Foreign Relations Department of the Chernivtsi National University. In 2013 she had graduated with honor and got the Bachelor’s degrees in both specializations. Mariya continues her studies for the Master’s degrees.

The fabulous Ms. Mariya Yaremchuk gave us the Honor to answer some of our questions for our site. Her presence make out site more beautiful!

So, Ms. Mariya Yaremchuk, Ukraine chosen the song “Tick-Tock” to represent the country in Eurovision Song Contest. Now you are the “ambassadress” of Ukraine in entire Europe, and not only, how does this feels?
Mariya: Amazing! It was a long-time dream of mine to represent my country at Eurovision Song Contest and finally I will have a chance to make my country proud. It’s exiting, a bit scary but really great feeling.

You have composed your song by yourself and wrote the lyrics with Sandra Bjurman. How do you feel about it, and what this song means to you as an artist and as a person?
Mariya: I’m always writing about my feelings, so I feel every bit of this song. I’ve written it by myself but when I’ve got a chance to work with Sandra I’ve took it. There are no limits for creativity, and if I could make my song better I’m making it. This is a love story, the tale about our search for one and only, for a true love and everyone experienced this feeling in life so I think that every person in audience can relate.

We all have memories in our lives from Eurovision Song Contest. When you hear the word “Eurovision” what is the first thing that cross your mind?
Mariya: The biggest dream of my life! I’m watching Eurovision since I was a child, since Ukraine had participated for a first time, I guess, and I’ve dreamed to have a chance to get on this stage.

Eurovision is almost 60 years old, some people believe that Eurovision, in our days, became a commercial product and have lost the sense of the original contest. What is your personal opinion about this point of view?
Mariya: I think that the Contest is not the way it was almost 60 years ago. Of course, it changed in all senses but we’ve changed too. It’s a new music, new musicians, new era, new countries are taking part in the Contest and it’s really amazing how it is now! But I think in 60 years it’s going to be something very different.

You are very talented young lady with big opportunities, have you realize your amazing “gift” as a musician? Singing it was always your dream?
Mariya: I’m singing since childhood, music is in my blood, I think. My father was famous Ukrainian musician so I’ve started singing before I’ve started talking. I’ve took a stage for a first time when I was 6 and since then I couldn’t imagine something else for myself.

These days Ukraine is under the “cloak” of incertitude. What is your message to them?
Mariya: I’m not a politician, I’m a singer, but of course I’m very worried for my country and for my people, and I want peace and the best outcome for all of us.

This year Greece sends a dance song in the Contest, do you like it?
Mariya: I love to dance so I like it very much. All the best to Greece at Eurovision! I see you in Copenhagen!

That was the amazing, wonderful but most of all True Artist MARIYA YAREMCHUK!
